A&K has released the first images of the interior of its new Peruvian Amazon riverboat: Pure Amazon.
Designed by the travel group’s architect, Adriana Granato, in collaboration with local artisans, Pure Amazon will set sail in mid-2025.
The riverboat has 10 suites and two single cabins, each designed with handcrafted furnishings made from locally sourced materials and featuring expansive windows.
The boat has multiple indoor and outdoor lounges, while the menu celebrates the region’s diverse culinary traditions using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Guests can start the day with yoga sessions on the observation deck or in the onboard gym, while a wellness room offers treatments inspired by traditional Amazonian healing practices.
Excursions aboard Pure Amazon
Daily excursions include encounters with wildlife such as spotting sloths, monkeys and myriad of birdlife, all while contributing to the organisation’s key conservation projects, including the protection of the endangered charapa turtle, and the preservation of the Amazon’s unique pink river dolphin.
Exclusive visits to local villages also provide the opportunity to support community-led conservation initiatives.
For those seeking a more active adventure, guests can kayak through winding tributaries, fish for piranha in the black waters of the Samiria River, or join a night excursion to witness the rainforest’s nocturnal creatures.
The riverboat will have three- or four-night itineraries, or a combination of both on a seven-night cruise.
