A once in a lifetime opportunity to have a sleepover at the iconic Abbey Road Studios is up for grabs thanks to Airbnb, giving punters the chance to live the life of a rock star for one majorly epic night.
No, you’re not dreaming!
Clear your calendar for the 15th to 16th of October guys, because this is one Airbnb experience you certainly will never forget.
Airbnb, the world’s leading community-driven hospitality company, has somehow managed to talk Abbey Road Studios into taking part in an epic contest that will see four lucky music nerds spending a night at the legendary London music studio.
How legendary you ask?
We’re talking the very same studio that The Beatles recorded at from 1962 to 1970, that Pink Floyd and Adele have laid down their tracks, and the studio where the legendary Star Wars soundtrack was captured.

The contest will see the studio transformed into a makeshift pad, complete with two comfy beds, which will be the first time a bed entered the space since John and Yoko requested a mattress back in 1969.
It will also be a unique chance for tourists to get inside the studio, which is normally hard to visit. Indeed, most people just visit the famous pedestrian crossing that featured on The Beatles’ classic Abbey Road album.
“Unless you are a recording artist, it is almost impossible to get inside Abbey Road Studios. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for a music lover to cross its threshold and unearth thousands of stories that live within its walls.”
James McClure, General Manager for Northern Europe, Airbnb.
And if staying the night wasn’t epic enough, guests will be hosted by English musician, DJ, singer, songwriter and Grammy-winning producer Mark Ronson, who has worked alongside such artists as Bruno Mars, Amy Winehouse and Adele. The winners will be given free reign over the studio to record their own track – how awesome is that?!

But that’s not even the best part, as you won’t even have to spend a single pound for the night.
Instead, music fans and those with the hunger to make their own mark on the music industry will need to visit the property’s own Airbnb listing page by 8:59pm (AEST) Friday 7 October (tomorrow) and wax lyrical on which song they wish they’d been able to witness being recorded at the iconic studios, and why.
The winners will then need to play by the (cool) house rules upon checking in, which include turning up the volume to 11!
This isn’t the first time Airbnb have launched a competition of such epic proportions. Last year, the hospitality website gave two brave souls the opportunity to spend Halloween in the macabre Paris Catacombs.
Airbnb recently teamed up with Qantas to offer its loyalty members the chance to earn points when they book their Airbnb accommodation through the airline’s website.
