Anantara Kafue River Tented Camp, the luxury hotel brand’s first safari tented camp, will open in April 2026 above the banks of the Kafue River.
The 10-villa and three-suite elevated camp is Anantara’s first safari tented camp and will connect guests directly to Kafue National Park, the country’s largest and oldest reserve.
The three suites sit 14 metres above the ground with open‑air daybeds on private terraces, while villas have private decks with pools.
For the ultimate in luxury, the 400-square-metre Presidential Villa has sweeping river views, a private boat dock, and an oversized plunge pool.

Days are spent exploring the Kafue River aboard the camp’s private riverboats to see crocodiles, otters and hippos.
On land, guided game drives take guests to see everything from lions and elephants to antelope and buffalo, while twitchers can try and spot the 500 species of birdlife.
When you return, take a dip in the pool, join a guided yoga session or head for a workout in the fully equipped gym.
When it’s time to dine, head to the signature restaurant beneath a canopy of trees for dishes of contemporary African classics created with seasonal, sustainably sourced produce, including locally caught fish and game.
Rates start at around A$9,500 per night and are around A$12,300 in high season.

Meanwhile, the luxury hotel brand has unveiled four new family suites at Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort in Northern Thailand.
Each has expansive living areas, private pools and hot tubs and has been designed with dark wood panelling, elephant motifs and vintage travel trunks with curated artwork reflecting “the character of the Mekong’s diverse regions”.
