Anantara has taken its first step into Spain with the launch of the Anantara Villa Padierna Palace Benahavis Marbella Resort, a property that’s sure to turn heads on the Andalusian coast.
Set amidst rolling hills overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, the resort has three golf courses, an Anantara Spa, Club de Mar private beach club, event spaces, eateries and bars.
Designed by British architect, Ed Gilbert, Anantara Villa Padierna Palace offers 132 guest rooms, suites and pool villas.
Each of the nine luxurious one and two-bedroom villas come with butler service and a private pool.
The hotel is filled with more than 1,200 original artworks – a mix of paintings, sculptures and artefacts displayed throughout the grounds and gardens.
All of the villas and many of the guest rooms have private terraces overlooking the golf courses and sea views beyond. On a clear day, the mountains of Morocco can be spotted on the horizon.
Spain’s well known 99 Sushi Bar & Restaurant has a new outlet at the property and Spanish two Michelin star chef Paco Roncero will be launching his new restaurant – O by Paco Roncero.
Diego Cabrera, one of the World’s 50 Best Mixologists, will also be adding some flare to Eddy’s Bar at the hotel.
Inspired by Roman Baths, the hotel spa features 10 specialised treatment rooms along with a hydrotherapy circuit with dedicated rooms, a Hammam, aromatherapy steam rooms and relaxation areas.
The accommodation is a 50 minute drive from Malaga International Airport, 15 minutes from the marina of Puerto Banus and 10 minutes from the historic Marbella town.
