APT Luxury Travel’s 2025 and 2026 Africa itineraries will include a brand-new Grootbos Private Nature Reserve trip extension and more departures for its Southern and Eastern Africa guided small-group tours and land journeys.
Debuting in 2025, the four-day Grootbos Private Nature Reserve extension offers a range of additional activities, such as 1,000-year-old milkwood forest walks, horse-riding and a 4WD botanical safari, from AUD$5,495 per person.
The 5-star luxury eco-reserve near the southernmost tip of the continent features a plethora of plant life and wildlife across 3,500ha of wilderness, including seeing the ‘big marine five’ of whales, sharks, dolphins, seals and penguins on an oceangoing safari.

This extension experience can be added to the 24-day Contrasts of Africa (from $35,495 per person twin-share) and 13-day Essence of Southern Africa (from $16,495 per person twin-share) tours, now available to book with early savings of up to $3,000 per couple.
The 24-day tour visits four countries and highlights include a Victoria Falls helicopter tour and a local school visit, while the shorter 13-day tour covers South Africa and Zambia and includes a cultural walking tour and Kruger National Park game drives.

After a sold-out 2024 season, Product Manager Kelly D’Aucourt said the Australian-founded luxury tour operator expects 2025 and 2026 to be just as popular and has increased departures to meet demand.
“We visit exquisite accommodation with luxurious stays in cities and towns and dreamy lodges in the heart of some of the best national parks,” D’Aucourt said.

“The locations we explore captivate the heart and soul. In eastern Africa, travelling aboard 4WD in small groups results in our guests having a deeper immersion amid the phenomenal landscapes.
“The Signature Experiences in each of the stunning regions are hand-selected to delve into its culture and heritage.”
