APT Travel Group has achieved record sales for the week ending 12 September 2025 – its biggest in almost 100 years of operation – driven by strong demand for small-group touring and private jet itineraries and destinations such as Europe and Canada.
The Group attributes the sales spike to the standout launch of Travelmarvel’s new Small Group Touring collection and a robust performance from Captain’s Choice private jet itineraries, particularly the Kangaroo Route once-in-a-lifetime departure.
APT Travel Group CEO David Cox said the Group is seeing unprecedented enthusiasm for 2026 programs across river cruises, small-group tours and private jet expeditions, underlining its luxury product offerings.

“From APT’s European river cruises to Travelmarvel’s new small-group tours and Captain’s Choice private jet expeditions, the response has been outstanding,” he said.
“Importantly, travellers at the high-end luxury level are showing they can tell the difference between true luxury products.
“Consumers are well informed and are well aware of ‘luxewashing‘ occurring in the marketplace. They want thoughtful curation in the product and a brand that delivers on its promise,” he said.

Travelmarvel’s Small Group Tours launched in July 2025 and have delivered early sales ahead of expectations by responding to guest feedback for smaller cohorts and rich on-ground connections.
The one-off Captain’s Choice Kangaroo Route departure on 3 February 2026 will retrace the historic 1947 service from Sydney to London aboard a Qantas Airbus A330, attracting travellers seeking exclusive, seamless and time-efficient ways to explore.

Destination-wise, surging interest in APT and Travelmarvel’s European river cruises is driven by demand for immersive and curated itineraries.
Canada is also outperforming expectations with strong bookings for the Rockies and iconic rail journeys as well as Alaska cruising, reinforcing its appeal as a bucket-list destination combining wilderness, rail and cruise experiences.
