Salter Brothers adds Blue Mountains resort to Ardour Collection

Lilianfels Blue Mountains Resort & Spa will undergo a multi-million-dollar transformation to join the new hotel brand Ardour Hotels and Estates, created to "set a new benchmark for Australian hospitality".

Lilianfels Blue Mountains Resort & Spa will undergo a multi-million-dollar transformation to join the new hotel brand Ardour Hotels and Estates, created to “set a new benchmark for Australian hospitality”.

It comes after Salter revealed in July that NSW’s historic Milton Park Country House Hotel & Spa would undergo a multi-million-dollar transformation and rebrand to become the debut property for the new brand.

The refurbishment of Lilianfels is already underway and will include an extended bar with a “wine wall” and private dining room, and the redesign of its 89 guest rooms and suites along with “elevated dining and enhanced wellness experiences”.

Salter Brothers Hospitality CEO Tash Tobias says its vision is to curate Australia’s most “exceptional heritage-rich retreats”.

“The addition of Lilianfels reflects SBH’s ambition to redefine regional travel experiences and set a new benchmark for Australian hospitality,” says Tobias.

“It’s about crafting exceptional hotels and estates and a new guest experience in regional destinations that is a deeply meaningful and modern expression, honouring heritage and connection to place.”

Salter Brothers Regional General Manager Sandra Kloprogge says, “The integration of this respected resort into the Ardour Hotels & Estates collection marks a pivotal moment – a thoughtful renewal that respects its history while setting a new standard for luxury, wellness, and immersive guest experiences in the region”.

Meanwhile, every part of Milton Park will be transformed, with the reception relocated to the heart of the main house.

Guest lounges, the bar, billiards room, terraces, and private dining areas will all be refreshed while “honouring the original architectural bones of the manor”.

There will also be new bespoke wool carpets, marble and walnut finishes, brushed brass accents, and custom-curated minibars, while a mural feature wall in every room will pay homage to the estate’s famed weeping beech tree within Milton Park’s historic gardens.

The estate’s signature offerings will also evolve with the introduction of a new dining concept, day spa and wellness program.

The official opening of Ardour Milton Park Bowral is anticipated to be in early 2026.

Lilianfels will remain open during the renovation period with an official reopening mid-2026.
