Azamara Cruises will bring two boutique small ships Down Under for eight sailings during the 2024-25 summer cruise season following a successful 2023-24 program in the region with Victoria already reporting a strong local season.
Azamara Pursuit will dock in Fremantle on 18 December 2024 while the fleet’s newest ship, Azamara Onward, will arrive in Auckland on 15 February 2025.
The luxury small-ship cruise line, known for its immersive experiences and extended destination days, will have eight country-intensive sailing during its time Down Under.
For cruise lovers, the highlight of this season’s local sailings is the two sister ships’ grand entrance into Sydney Harbour together on 20 February 2025.
Pursuit cruises
Itineraries include the almost-full 15-night voyage around WA and SA, departing Fremantle on 20 December and including Christmas at sea and New Year’s Eve in Sydney.
Pursuit will also sail 14- and 18-night itineraries between Australia and New Zealand in January and February plus a 14-night Sydney to Fremantle cruise before departing on an 18-night journey to Asia via Queensland and Bali.
After sailing in Asia in March 2025, she will cruise back to Europe for the Northern Hemisphere summer.
Onward cruises
Meanwhile, Onward will arrive in Auckland during her world cruise, visiting seven NZ destinations across 15 nights as well as Hobart and Eden on the way to Sydney.
On 20 February 2025, she will embark on a 22-night cruise from Sydney to Singapore via Victoria, SA and WA.
