Doors swung wide open, again! The iconic Raffles Singapore reopened this week after completing a careful two-and-a-half-year restoration.
The well-known Singapore Raffles will now provide an “experience like no other”, said General Manager Christian Westbeld, shortly after welcoming first guests.
Although the heart of Raffles Singapore remains the same, guests will find “new levels of unrivalled comfort”, a statement read, along with an “enhanced suite experience” and more.

WHAT’S CHANGED AT RAFFLES SINGAPORE?
The three-phased restoration (which began in Feb 2017 BTW) included a mix of careful upgrades and mild changes.
For example, there are now 115 suites available for guests to book, up from the previous 103.
The additional rooms were made possible with the introduction of three new suite categories – Residence, Promenade and Studio suites.
The Raffles Arcade has been outfitted with new retail brands, including a “charming” Raffles Boutique. There’s also new restaurants and bars including a space serving dishes from world-renowned chefs, and the Long Bar.
Interior design now provides a sense of “social haven” through a mix of “culture, beauty and gentility”.
WHAT DO THE BOSSES THINK?
Obviously, they love it, but more specifically…
Westbeld (the GM mentioned earlier) described it as a welcoming property where guests can “create treasured memories”.
Jeannette Ho, VP of Brand and Strategic Relationships, concurred, saying the hotel is “refreshed, reimagined and revitalised”.
