Belmond’s new riverboat, Marguerite, is the “only riverboat of its kind” and will join Belmond’s French fleet for the European summer.
On board are just four suites, an open-plan salon, expansive outdoor deck, private plunge pool, artisan-crafted furnishings, and menus curated by Chef Dominique Crenn, its first culinary curator and the first female chef in the US to receive three Michelin stars for her flagship restaurant Atelier Crenn.
The luxurious riverboat will cruise between Pontailler and St Léger, Lyon and Auxonne, as well as St-Jean and Lyon.

Experiences while cruising include learning about Dijon’s heritage with hands-on mustard-making classes, curated art tours, visits to historic castles, and exclusive tastings at renowned and hidden wine estates.
The more active can cycle the Route des Grands Crus on guided e-bike tours, participating in exclusive culinary workshops, or enjoying private lunches in the historic salons of Château du Clos de Vougeot, then come back on board and take a dip in the heated outdoor pool.

Les Bateaux Belmond General Manager Maxime Brun says the new riverboat is the result of a true French collaboration, uniting teams in Saint Jean-de-Losne, an in-house architect, and artisans from across France.
“From the stained-glass mastery of Atelier Loire in Chartres to the fine woodwork crafted in Saint Rémy, Marguerite embodies a level of savoir-faire, deeply anchored in our national heritage.
“This is exactly what our guests seek: a genuine connection to our contemporary heritage, a sense of place, and authenticity that embodies our values.
“It is a testament to our ongoing commitment to slow luxury, where time is not simply spent, but invested.”
