Crystal has revealed key milestone dates in the construction of its first new-build ship in more than two decades.
Due to be delivered in May 2028, the new ship will undergo its steel cutting ceremony in May 2026, with the keel laying scheduled for December 2026.
Abercrombie & Kent CEO Cristina Levis says, “Behind the scenes, our teams have been working diligently on every element of this extraordinary project”.
“These milestones represent more than construction progress; they are a testament to our shared commitment with Fincantieri to deliver the most exceptional ship at sea, on schedule and with an unparalleled attention to detail.”
The name of the new ship is yet to be revealed, with details on her inaugural voyages and new suite categories to come by the end of the year.

A&K acquired the Crystal and its two vessels, Serenity and Symphony, in 2022.
In August, it announced ‘By Abercrombie & Kent’, an initiative it’ll launch in August 2026, which offers guests curated land adventures using A&K’s cultural expertise while they’re on board.
The inaugural voyage under the partnership will be a 12-day Mediterranean expedition from Rome to Venice aboard Crystal Serenity.
In 2027, A&K will offer six cultural voyages, including Hong Kong to Yokohama, Lisbon to Portsmouth, a variety of Mediterranean routes, and a Canadian exploration.
A&K says the launch “represents a significant evolution in luxury cruising, leveraging Abercrombie & Kent’s six decades of expertise to deliver unprecedented access to authentic, world-class experiences both onshore and at sea”.
