Destino Five Ibiza reopens as five-star hotel following transformation

Destino Five Ibiza, nestled in the cliffs of Cap Martinet on the Spanish island of Ibiza, has reopened as a five-star retreat following an extensive transformation.

Destino Five Ibiza, nestled in the cliffs of Cap Martinet on the Spanish island of Ibiza, has reopened as a five-star retreat following an extensive transformation.

With entertainment at the heart of the hotel, it’s no surprise there has been the addition of an open-air stage that will host “blockbuster performances under the open sky”.

Each of the 159 rooms has also been renovated to give a more contemporary feel, while a fire pit has been added for starlit evenings, and for those wanting to stay active, a new outdoor gym.

Days are spent at Playa Pacha, a poolside playground with loungers, signature cocktails, and Mediterranean bites while listening to the live entertainment.

While evenings are reserved for the nearby Pacha Ibiza, the island’s legendary nightclub.

As well as its upgraded status and refreshed rooms, the hotel now also runs on 100 per cent Green Power, “conserves millions of litres of water” through state-of-the-art recycling and reduction measures, and has achieved a 46 per cent reduction in carbon footprint.

It also sources all fresh produce from the island and is registered with the US Green Building Council, targeting LEED Gold certification.
