Golden Eagle Luxury Trains is partnering with Uniworld River Cruises in 2026 with a focus on Europe.
The partnership includes the Swiss Alps and Danube, offering “exclusive, culturally rich journeys in style, comfort and safety,” says Golden Eagle Product Development Director James Masterson.
“It’s more than going on a train trip then a cruise.
“We’re about designing journeys that flow naturally through diverse landscapes and cultures, such as traversing the Swiss Alps by rail before gliding down the Danube or Seine by ship. The journeys are for travellers valuing depth and variety over speed.”

Uniworld Australasian Managing Director Alice Ager says research shows agents aren’t just booking a one-week river cruise for clients.
“The combinations are stunning and our guests and agents love the itineraries.
“Rail and cruise are selling particularly well here in Australia and New Zealand.
“We love partnering with Golden Eagle. Their ethos of excellence and deep immersive experiences make these pairings a perfect match.”
Beginning April 2026, the itineraries include the Paris to Istanbul route by train combined with Uniworld’s 15-day Paris and Normandy cruise.
Guests sail from Paris on board the S.S Joie de Vivre ship for seven nights, then join the Danube Express through central Europe to Istanbul.

Earlier this year, Golden Eagle announced it had added a new train to its fleet and a new route from Vietnam to China.
Guests start their journey with Vietnam Express, and once across the Vietnamese border, transfer to the ultra-luxe Golden Eagle Silk Road Express to continue through China. The two-week trip will take in cities like Hoi An and Hanoi, and end in Shanghai.
In 2026, the luxury train line will also launch other new routes to mark its 35th anniversary, including the Silk Road on the Silk Road Express.
Those trips include the 22-day Grand Silk Road voyage following in the footsteps of ancient traders and covering 6,500 kilometres from Beijing to Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
