Hotel Les Lumières, a 31-key boutique five-star hotel in a restored 17th century property, has opened in the heart of the Cité Royale of Versailles at 5 rue Colbert.
Les Lumières , a member of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux collection, is within close proximity of Château de Versailles, its nearby neighbour.
The lands on which Hotel Les Lumières stands were initially donated by Louis XIV in the 17th century.
The estate’s Gramont pavilion was fully reconstructed in the 19th century while Villacerf was converted into the Hôtel des Voyageurs in approximately 1820, and later refurbished at the beginning of the 20th century.

Each of the hotel’s 31 rooms and suites carries the name of a well-known French figure from the Age of Enlightenment, including savants, philosophers, writers and explorers of the 18th century.

Dining options include Café Pierre Hermé on the first floor, with six-metre-high ceilings. The cafe and restaurant is under the signature of internationally renowned pasty chef, Chef Pierre Hermé.
Guests can choose from a sweet and savoury menu, or visit the hotel’s Pierre Hermé Boutique where macaroons, pastries, chocolates are available to take-away (or eat at the Café).

Other dining options include La Table des Lumières restaurant, helmed by Chef Erwan Le Thomas and with a menu focused on plant-based French cuisine; and the Bar des Philosophes for drinks.

Les Lumières includes an on-site spa and wellness facility, the Spa des Lumières, that features two treatment rooms, a steam room and sauna, a herbal tea room, and a fitness centre.

The hotel offers a number of curated tours and experiences for guests to discover Château de Versailles.
Activities on offer include Sophrology walks, combining culture and wellbeing, with attendees doing relaxation exercises; exclusive private tours exploring the UNESCO World Heritage-listed site; Versailles arts and crafts tours and workshops; horseback riding in the gardens; tours by horse-drawn carriage to explore Versailles; or meditation and yoga in its gardens.

Les Lumières is part of the 2LCollection, a French hotel collective with properties in Normandy, Paris and Provence.
