Envoyage recently hosted its most prestigious annual reward event, Icons, treating 50 top-selling travel advisors (and their guests!) to four luxurious days in the Maldives at Heritance Aarah Resort.
The event welcomed the highest-performing advisors from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and the US, who were flown in via private seaplane, greeted with champagne and pampered with spa vouchers.
The event was supported by platinum partners Journey Beyond, Ama Waterways and Europ Assistance, along with other sponsors including Intrepid, Viking, Azamara, Expedia TAAP, Exoticca, Cover-More, Addicted to Maldives, Etihad and Inclusive Collection, part of the World of Hyatt.
Global Managing Director Danielle Galloway highlighted Icons as the epitome of the Envoyage experience.
“Icons is not just a reward but a testament to the extraordinary efforts of the people that strive for excellence and help propel our brand forward,” she remarked, hailing the network’s “incredible entrepreneurs”.
“As we gather at the breathtaking Heritance Aarah Resort, we celebrate not only individual achievements but the collective spirit that unites us as the Envoyage family.
“Across all of the islands of the Maldives, people walk around with their hand over their heart. It is a sign of welcoming visitors with respect and appreciation.
“Our 2024 Icons were able to experience the beautiful culture of the Maldivian people, whose beautiful nature aligns with our vision of being the home and heart of the travel industry, where aspiration, connection and exceptional experience converge.
“I cherish the opportunity to connect with our highest performing members and wonderful event partners every year at Icons and come away so energised from each conversation.”
Envoyage General Manager Australia Nick Queale praised the gathering for strengthening connections across regions.
“Watching our members not only celebrate their achievements but connect with the extended global family to share advice and form friendships was incredibly rewarding and is reflective of the brand’s core values – engagement, entrepreneurship and endurance,” he stated.
“The Maldives is a truly aspirational destination that relaxes and inspires, which is exactly how we wanted our members to feel when they walked away from this four-day celebration.”
One of Australia’s 2024 Icons, Acland Travel’s Bradley Jukes, was thrilled to be involved in the event.
“No one does reward and recognition better than Envoyage and Icons 2024 was no different,” he said.
“The opportunity to network and engage with like-minded business owners, suppliers and Envoyage representatives is invaluable, all whilst being wined, dined, and pampered in absolute luxury. Thank you to the entire Envoyage team for an amazing four days.”
Journey Beyond Strategic Account Manager Rachel Beaumont-Smith said the company was thrilled to be a platinum partner for Icons, praising the “truly invaluable” and lifelong connections made during the event.
“The genuine interest and professionalism displayed by the group towards our incredible range of Journey Beyond experiences is inspiring,” she added.
“We are looking forward to further integrating Envoyage into Journey Beyond’s strategic sales strategy and solidifying our commitment to delivering exceptional experiences to the travel industry globally. This partnership marks an exciting chapter for Journey Beyond.”
