Inkaterra has recently opened Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Located in-between Cusco and Machu Picchu, this contemporary hacienda-style hotel spans over 100 acres, showcasing 12 stunning rooms including a three-room “Owners Suite”. At an altitude of 2,900 metres, guests will experience one of the best climates in the Cusco region, while enjoying views of the Sacred Valley and surrounding mountains from their bedside.
The sixth property from the hotel company, Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba offers a variety of in-house activities and ecofriendly excursions, such as bird watching (with over 30 bird species at the hotel grounds), star gazing, horseback riding, and the rare chance to ride a llama cart.
The property also features a 4-hectare organic plantation where guests are welcome to pick their own produce, including all types of quinoa, artichokes, Urubamba giant corn, as well as traditional medicinal herbs such as lemon balm and rosemary.
The first stages of the hotel opened in April 2015, with the final phases of the property, including 24 luxury casitas due to open Australian Summer 15/16.
