Luxperience 2023 opens today at ICC Sydney for three intensive days of supplier and advisor meetings, networking events, and the latest trends and insights designed to drive luxury travel sales in the Australasian market.
Karryon is in attendance at Luxperience 2023 with more than 75 travel suppliers and 120-plus luxury travel professionals (including over one-third with over 20 years of experience) for the annual high-profile hosted buyer event.
This year’s event has attracted many new exhibitors, including Explora Journeys, Queenstown’s Roki Collection and the French Tourist Bureau.
Flight Centre Travel Group snapped up Luxperience in April as part of the company’s growing Luxury Travel Collection, which includes Travel Associates and the recently acquired UK-based Scott Dunn.
The growth of luxury travel
FCTG Global CEO of Leisure James Kavanagh said he was looking forward to his first taste of this exceptional showcase.
“Luxury travel is one of the most exciting growth trends we are seeing as a company, making Luxperience a strong addition to our Luxury Travel Collection and delivering exceptional quality and insight to the market,” Kavanagh said.
“Luxperience continues to operate as a separate business entity within our organisation, and the strong leadership of the event, its reputation for quality over the past 12 years and the value it delivers to both national and international buyers and suppliers alike made it the ideal addition to our portfolio of travel.
“We are extremely pleased with the calibre attracted to the boutique event this year, and with almost 60 per cent of travel suppliers new to Luxperience, it’s going to be a brilliant week of networking and discovery. We are thrilled for the future of this event as it returns to its full scale in 2024,” he said.
Experiential travel as a luxe trend
Luxperience Event Director Lynn Ormiston noted that quality touring and unusual experiences are a growing industry trend with the likes of Journey Beyond in attendance.
“At our first face-to-face event since the pandemic, buyers who have a long history of luxury travel expertise are keen to join us to find new and exciting experiences for their clients.”
“This is where Luxperience offers the unique opportunity to connect the best high-end suppliers with pre-qualified buyers from Australia, New Zealand and the globe,” she said.
Luxperience 2024 will take place at ICC Sydney from 11-14 November.
