Spicers Retreats is adding a second Hunter Valley property to its portfolio with Spicers Guesthouse Retreat to welcome guests from November following extensive renovations worth more than $20 million.

Spicers Retreats owner Jude Turner, who bought the property two years ago, said she was thrilled to finally unveil the first look at the charming retreat that pays homage to its roots as a meeting place for local winemakers.

“The extensive refurbishment includes a vastly elevated design to match the surrounding mountain ranges and vineyards, and state-of-the-art conference facilities, a large-scale events or wedding gazebo and private dining room with an elaborate wine wall, housing the locally produced wines from Australia’s oldest wine region”.

The 49-room retreat will including a four-bedroom standalone cottage ideal for larger groups and weddings in the picturesque Hunter Valley setting.

The retreat will complement the brand’s neighbouring property Spicers Vineyards Estate and marks the ninth property in the Turner’s Spicers Retreat portfolio.

There will also be an Italian-inspired Restaurant called Eremo boasting plenty of local produce and the great wine that the area is renowned for.

A King Room at Spicers Guesthouse will start at $339 per night. The new retreat will go on sale to the public in September before opening in November 2018. For more details click here.
