Luxury Travel Collection launches new ‘Leaders who Lunch’ series

Luxury Travel Collection (LTC) this week hosted the first of its ‘Leaders Who Lunch’ sessions, bringing together luxury travel advisors with global partner, Silversea.

Luxury Travel Collection (LTC) this week hosted the first of its ‘Leaders Who Lunch’ sessions, bringing together luxury travel advisors with global partner, Silversea.

LTC says this new series of intimate, invitation-only lunches is designed to connect influential global senior leaders from its luxury partner network, with a hand-selected group of members to drive a deeper understanding of the brands and people influencing the luxury travel industry.

The first event was held on Thursday 5 September at Bottega Restaurant in Melbourne with special guest Conrad Combrink, Senior Vice President Expeditions, Destination and Itinerary Management, Silversea.

Combrink has been instrumental in building Silversea’s expedition program since 2007, personally researching and undertaking detailed reconnaissance missions to bring creative and unique itineraries and destinations to life for luxury travellers.

Silversea Managing Director Asia Pacific, Adam Radwanski and Barry Laaksonen, Sales Manager Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia joined Combrink at this exclusive table of 20 LTC luxury travel leaders.

Luxury Travel Collection General Manager of Brand, Anna Burgdorf said the concept of Leaders Who Lunch is about initiating and facilitating vital face-to-face discussion between industry leaders in a small group setting.

“We have created this exclusive series to connect inspirational global leaders with influential, senior luxury travel advisors from our membership house. Authentic, open conversation among a small group of people is key to building lasting relationships and for global leaders to understand the requirements of the AU and NZ luxury traveller,” said Burgdorf.

“Dedicating the time to develop these relationships between incredible leaders is one of those opportunities that is rare and will be extremely productive for all involved,” Burgdorf said of the event which marks the “first in a carefully curated program.”

Global Managing Director Luxury Leisure, Danielle Galloway, said the opportunity to come together to discuss business opportunities, share ideas and discover new information about partner brands was a valuable experience.

“Leaders Who Lunch is about mastery and collaboration at the highest level as we believe there is nothing more powerful or influential than a face-to-face discussion around future strategy, business vision and authentic connection with the people who run the brand itself. It’s exactly what being part of LTC is about – a globally connected luxury community,” Galloway said.

Future Leaders Who Lunch events will be held in capital cities around Australia with a maximum of 25 guests in attendance at each event.

“We are continuing to nurture mutually beneficial relationships between members, key partners and luxury travellers, driven by the knowledge and understanding that flows from the top of every distinctive brand and business in our House of Luxury Travel,” Burgdorf said.

Days earlier, Combrink had attended CLIA Cruise360 in Sydney, speaking at a session titled ‘Leveraging the Experiential Travel Trend’.

The Luxury Travel Collection is now comprised of 14 luxury travel advisor members, with the most recent members to the collective announced in late July.
