Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Stephane Massarini as Managing Director of its three renowned New Zealand luxury properties.
Stephane has been with the Rosewood group since 2021 as Resort Manager of Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth in the Caribbean’s French West Indies.
Stephane brings to his new role years of experience as a leader in luxury hospitality, successfully managing and leading pre-opening projects and high-end properties with brands such as St. Regis and InterContinental across the globe.
Stephane’s other past roles include serving as General Manager at IHG InterContinental Beppu and Spa in Japan, where he led the pre-opening of the first InterContinental resort from the ground up, and the first onsen resort in Japan for the group.
In his new role, Stephane will oversee all Managing Director responsibilities of Rosewood Kauri Cliffs, Rosewood Cape Kidnappers and Rosewood Matakauri, curating guest experiences while preserving the unique native culture of the resorts.
The three properties, across New Zealand’s North and South Islands, showcase the country’s unique geography, offering access to guests to the surrounding coastline, rolling hills, mountains and more.
The three New Zealand resorts were founded by philanthropists Julian and Josie Robertson in 2001. Rosewood Hotels & Resorts commenced management of the three properties on 1 December, 2023.
