Seven Seas Prestige

Set to make her maiden voyage on 13 December 2026, a 14-night sailing from Barcelona to Miami, the 822-guest Seven Seas Prestige is Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ first ship in the line’s new class of ships since 2010.

She is 40 per cent larger than her Explorer-class fleetmates, but will only have 10 per cent more guests; she will therefore have one of the highest guest-to-space ratios at sea, as well as a very high 1:1.3 crew-to-guest ratio.

Prestige’s show-stopping Skyview Regent Suite, a palatial 817sqm residence on two levels, is the biggest Regent Suite in the fleet; there are 12 categories of suites altogether, including four new designs.

Among her 11 dining options is the new Azure restaurant, a Mediterranean mezze-style venue. Other new features include the stunning Starlight Atrium, enhanced spa facilities and a pickleball court.

Viking Mira & Viking Libra

Viking Cruises introduces its 13th and 14th oceangoing ships in June and December 2026.

The 998-guest Viking Mira is identical to 2024’s Viking Vela and 2025’s Viking Vesta (the first 10 ships are slightly smaller and accommodate 930 guests), testament to the enduring popularity of Viking’s “no kids under 18, no casinos, no nickel and diming” ethos.

Viking Mira will make her maiden voyage on 5 June 2026, a 12-night sailing from Civitavecchia to Barcelona, before heading to Northern Europe.

Viking Libra is the first of Viking’s two hydrogen-powered vessels and the world’s first hydrogen-powered cruise ship; the second, Viking Astrea, will launch in 2027. This technology allows her to operate with zero emissions in port and for short distances at sea.

Apart from this key difference, Viking Libra continues the line’s signature Scandi-style interior design, accommodation categories and dining options. Her maiden voyage is a 10-night Greek Odyssey departing Athens on 3 December 2026.

Star Seeker, Windstar Cruises’ first new ship in more than a decade, made her maiden voyage on 28 December 2025, arriving in Miami on 13 January 2026; her identical sister Star Explorer sets sail in December 2026. The new ships each feature 112 suites in 12 categories, most of which have verandas or floor-to-ceiling infinity windows.

Star Seeker and Star Explorer are an evolution of the line’s three Star-class ships, and with three sailing ships, bring Windstar’s small-ship fleet to eight.

New features include two aft-facing Horizon Owner’s Suites that can be connected to adjacent suites for added space, specialty restaurant Bamboo + Basil, a reimagined spa and water sports platform and upgraded amenities.
