Orient Express, part of Accor, has revealed imagery and further details of Orient Express Corinthian, the first of its two new luxury yachts due to set sail in June 2026 on the Mediterranean, Adriatic, and Caribbean seas.
The group says that Orient Express Corinthian will be the world’s largest sailing yacht, spanning 220 metres and featuring 4,500 square metres of sails mounted on three inclinable masts. The ship will be able to reach a speed of 17 knots propelled solely by the wind.
“Harnessing its boundless imagination, Orient Express has conjured up a dreamworld of discoveries, meetings, motion and emotions,” said Sébastien Bazin, Accor Group Chairman & CEO.

“With Orient Express Corinthian, the Orient Express legend is now preparing to sail the world’s finest seas offering an unprecedented experience of travel and adventure. Drawing inspiration from the golden age of luxury cruises, the yacht reinvents movement and comfort on the water and is designed to meet the sustainability challenges of the future. It’s a great source of pride for all of us,” said Bazin.
The yacht’s interiors have been designed by architect Maxime d’Angeac, Artistic Director, who has been inspired by the golden age of travel.
What advisors need to know

Here are the details of what Orient Express Corinthian will offer at sea:
- The ship will have 54 suites, ranging in size between 45-230 square metres each
- One suite will feature a luxurious “bubble” offering passengers total intimacy and comfort
- 48 of the suites are located on decks four, five and six; while six premium class suites are situated on deck seven
- All suites will be furnished with wood, leather and marble finishes meticulously created by expert craftsmen and women
- The yacht will contain five restaurants and eight bars including a 1930s-style speakeasy, and a 115-seat cabaret decorated in Art Deco style
- The ship also features a recording studio, a cinema and a luxury spa
- A 16.6 metre swimming pool will be featured on deck six
Sustainable technology

Orient Express Corinthian will be propelled by sails designed with the revolutionary ‘SolidSail’ technology: three rigid sails, each spanning 1,500 square metres, will be mounted with spritsail rigging on three inclinable masts towering over 100 metres high, allowing up to 100 per cent propulsion under suitable weather conditions.
Sail power will be backed up by a state-of-the-art LNG-powered engine capable of running on green hydrogen (once the corresponding technology has been approved for ocean-going passenger ships).
As reported by Karryon Luxury earlier this year, Orient Express Silenseas is also set to sail in 2026.
Meanwhile, staying true to its rail origins, Accor also announced that La Dolce Vita Orient Express, Italy’s first luxury train, will commence departures in 2025.
