Outrigger Maldives Maafushivaru Resort has been named a Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best winner for 2026, recognised as being among the top one per cent of hotels worldwide.
The South Ari Atoll resort, located in one of the few places in the world where whale sharks can be encountered year-round, ranked as number five in Asia and number 21 worldwide among Tripadvisor’s Best of the Best All-Inclusive Resorts.
The Best of the Best rankings are based entirely on guest reviews and ratings collected over the last 12 months.
Marine access is the resort’s defining point of distinction. A dedicated marine team, led by on-site marine biologist Chloe Mclanachan, runs guided snorkelling, educational programs and coral conservation work alongside the resort’s wellness offering at Navasana Spa.
