Size, space, expansive views, luxe furnishings, lavish bathrooms, vast private balconies and – very importantly – outstanding personal service make these ultra-luxury suites the most sought-after on ships sailing right now.
Luxury cruisers have more choices than ever before in terms of beautiful ships, destinations and experiential travel, but when your clients desire the ultimate in suite life, nothing but the best will do.
Here are six exceptional suites that will not disappoint even the most discerning cruiser.
Seven Seas Grandeur, Regent Suite

Regent calls Seven Seas Grandeur’s opulent Regent Suite “the most exclusive address at sea”.
It’s the biggest Regent Suite in the line’s three Explorer-class ships and while size isn’t everything, at 412 square metres – which includes a 120sqm balcony – this suite is not only way bigger than most city apartments but far more lavishly appointed.
Commanding 270-degree views from its wraparound deck and floor-to-ceiling windows, the two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom suite can accommodate up to six guests.
The master bathroom is arguably the pièce de résistance – it boasts a sauna, steam room, heated loungers and treatment areas where guests can enjoy unlimited complimentary spa services.
Other uber-luxe features include separate dining and living areas, a stunning Italian marble bar, and a spa pool on the balcony.
Complimentary amenities and services are also extensive. Just to name a few, guests have exclusive access to The Study, a 12-person private dining room; a personal butler who can organise a car with driver and guide in every port; even personalised stationery. It seems that social media hasn’t completely killed off the art of traditional letter-writing in some circles.
Le Commandant Charcot, Owner’s Suite

The second-largest suite in our selection of most desirable accommodations at sea is on Ponant’s luxury icebreaker, Le Commandant Charcot.
Again, it’s not just about the size, which at 115 square metres plus a 186sqm terrace is certainly not to be sniffed at, but about its fixtures and furnishings, amenities and services.
Le Commandant Charcot’s Suite de l’Armateur at the aft of Deck 8 can accommodate up to six guests – two in the stylish king-size bedroom and two each on sofa beds in the capacious living room.
The living room includes a remote-controlled, steam-fired fireplace – ideal when you’re exploring the polar regions or navigating Canada’s icy St Lawrence River in midwinter.
Glass sliding doors open onto the huge terrace, which has a hot tub, dining table, two sofas, and a Swarovski telescope. Guests in the Owner’s Suite also enjoy butler service, champagne and a fruit basket on arrival, canapes served daily, and a complimentary spa treatment.
Explora I & II, Owner’s Residence

Explora Journeys has captured another segment of the high-end cruise market – the new line is one of the few that welcomes children.
The ship’s 280sqm Owner’s Residences accommodate two adults and one child under two, and booking a connecting Ocean Terrace suite allows ample space for four adults or three adults plus one child under the age of 18.
The Owner’s Residence includes a 125sqm terrace that spans the ship’s full width, complete with a whirlpool, day beds and a dining setting.
Inside, living and entertaining areas include a king-size bedroom with marble bathroom and steam room; a master and guest bathroom; separate lounge and dining areas; a dedicated workspace; and a butler’s pantry.
Talking of butlers, he or she is on hand 24/7 to look after guests’ every whim, whether that involves packing and unpacking, organising shore tours and private transport, or delivering that perfectly mixed cocktail whenever it’s desired. With canapes, of course.
Celebrity Edge-class ships, Iconic Suite

The first in a series of six Edge-class ships, Celebrity Edge took premium luxury cruising to new levels for guests in its Iconic Suites.
Located above the Bridge on Deck 12, this pair of two-storey, 240sqm suites offer panoramic views from floor-to-ceiling windows.
Designed by Celebrity favourites Kelly Hoppen and Nate Berkus, each Iconic Suite has two king-sized bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a vast living and dining space.
Outside, extensive terraces are furnished with a daybed, loungers, table and chairs, plants and hot tub; you can even ask your butler to bring your in-room Peloton bike onto the terrace.
Iconic Suite guests can contact their butler wherever they are on the ship – or onshore – via Butler Chat for services such as dining, theatre and shore excursions reservations, personalising the drinks selection (there’s a full-size fridge), organising laundry and pressing, and in-suite dining.
Specialty dining throughout the ship is complimentary, and Iconic guests also enjoy exclusive access to Luminae restaurant.
Luminara, Owner’s Suite

Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s third luxury superyacht is due to make her maiden voyage in July in the Mediterranean.
Accommodating up to 452 guests, Luminara is the largest of the hotel group’s fleet, and her eight equally large and elegantly appointed Owner’s Suites range from 69 to 97 square metres, with terraces ranging from 55 to 97 square metres.
Inside, all Owner’s Suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows, two “living/conversation” areas, a full bar with seating, a dining table for six, a huge bedroom and two bathrooms. The fabulous terrace has a whirlpool and outdoor dining furniture and seating.
Luminara will have a high crew-to-guest ratio of nearly 1:1 and Owner’s Suite guests also have a Personal Concierge at their service. Amenities and services include a bottle of champagne on arrival, 24-hour in-suite dining, an espresso machine, customised minibar, high-zoom binoculars and premium Wi-Fi.
The ship boasts five restaurants, seven bars, a wine vault, and a lavish Ritz-Carlton Spa. If guests are travelling with children, the Ritz Kids program will keep kids aged four to 12 entertained in a standalone area.
Scenic Eclipse I & II, Owner’s Penthouse Suite

Scenic Eclipse II made her spectacular debut Down Under in April last year and returns to the Kimberley in July 2025 for another season of cruises in local waters until March 2026.
The ultra-stylish Discovery Yacht offers two stunning 195sqm Owner’s Penthouse Suites (which include a 60sqm wraparound balcony with whirlpool) at the yacht’s bow on Deck 9.
Guests can up the luxe factor even further by combining an Owner’s Penthouse Suite with an adjoining Spa Suite to create a lavish, 245sqm Two-Bedroom Penthouse Suite.
In the Owner’s Penthouse Suite, the enormous bedroom is complemented by a super-sized bathroom that features a dual steam shower, therapeutic spa bath, and KLAFS infrared seats said to offer healing benefits. There’s also a second bathroom, separate living and dining spaces that cater for in-suite dining for eight guests and a full minibar stocked to individual preferences.
Services and amenities include a butler, daily delivery of canapes and fruit, complimentary laundry, priority dining in specialty restaurants and VIP embarkation and disembarkation.
