Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) has expanded its global portfolio of boutique properties with 49 new additions in 2025 so far, joining more than 620 independent hotels in 90-plus countries.
It follows a record-breaking 2024 where the hospitality brand reached 82 signings with more openings to come, including a local debut in the Levantine Hill Hotel, a 33 suite-only hotel in Victoria’s Yarra Valley due in December 2025.
Of the 49 newly added properties – 25 in the first quarter of this year alone, nine were newly opened sites in 2025.

SLH welcomed brand-new hotels La Valise Mazunte in Oaxaca, Mexico in February and The James Suite Hotel Firenze 1564 in July 2025, housed in a 16th-century Renaissance palazzo in Florence.
Following this year are France’s Maison Maubreuil and ONE | GT Cayman Island, opening in September and December, respectively.

SLH also established a presence in new locales, such as Berlin with the Wilmina Hotel, Munich’s newly opened House of Hütter – Münchner Kindl, Boutique Hotel by BlackSeaRama in Bulgaria, Younch Hotel in Xi’an, China and Hotel Palau Fugit in Girona, Spain.

For city stays, discerning travellers can check into two Japanese hotels that are new to the SLH portfolio – Cuvée J2 Hôtel Osaka by Onko Chishin, a Champagne-led concept, and Tokyo’s Takawana Hanakohro, a traditional ryokan in the city centre.

And for clients seeking secluded sanctuaries, SLH now offers Türkiye’s Kestelinn Alaçati, a petite seven-room resort; Villa Beluno Hotel & Spa in Patagonia; Baale Resort in Goa and Morgan’s Rock sustainable resort in Nicaragua; alongside two resorts in Mexico’s Tulum: Lula Seaside Boutique Hotel and Wakax Hacienda – Cenote & Boutique Hotel.
