Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) has added 25 properties to its portfolio, including hotels in multiple new locations and UNESCO World Heritage-listed sites.
SLH added the 25 hotel listings in the first quarter of 2025. Nine are new hotel openings, bringing the ultra-luxury hotel group collection to 620 hotels across more than 90 countries.
Among those that are recently opened are House of Hütter – Münchner Kindl, SLH’s first hotel in Munich – an 18th-century property with ten apartment suites and six luxury rooms; Romeo Roma, steps away from the Piazza del Popolo, and Villa Haven Resort Maldives.

SLH has also entered multiple new markets, including Riga, Latvia for the first time, signing 19th-century converted bank Grand Palace Hotel to its books.
It’s also added its first Massachusetts property, The Mansion at Ocean Edge, along Cape Cod Bay with a private beach; and in Girona, Spain, Hotel Palau Fugit, a restored 18th-century palace in Girona’s Old Quarter.

UNESCO stays
Multiple of the newly added hotels are UNESCO World Heritage-listed, including Hotel Urban Madrid, home to Michelin-starred restaurant, CEBO; Nobu Hotel Warsaw in the historic centre, and Schlossle Hotel in Tallinn’s Old Town – a former thriving trading centre where merchants and nobles from across Europe came to do business in the 13th-century.
While in the heart of Bordeaux, you’ll find YNDO Hotel Bordeaux set in a 19th-century private mansion, and in Italy, Sant’Angelo Matera – in the city of Matera in the Basilicata region, home to myriad ancient alleyways and churches.

Beachside bliss
For beach lovers, there’s The Retreat Koh Chang in Trat, Thailand tucked between Kai Bae Beach and a quiet fishing village, or on the Greek peninsula of Halkidiki, Eagles Palace – 42 luxurious villas nestled on a hilltop in a century-old palace.
On Sicily’s northern shore is Le Calette N°5 – a family-run property focused on laid-back luxury. And alongside the Riviera Maya, BESPOKE is a collection of 22 architecturally designed residences.

Meanwhile, for an urban getaway, Dublin’s only five-star boutique hotel, Dylan Hotel in Dublin, has joined the collection, home to The Ruby Room – said to be Dublin’s most beautiful cocktail bar.
SLH Chief Operating Officer, Richard Hyde says, “The demand for authentic, intimate luxury experiences continues to soar”.
“We are excited to build on the successes of a record-breaking 2024 and are committed to introducing thoughtfully selected luxury boutique properties to our discerning guests.”
