Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) is expected to hit record signings after adding 87 properties this year, bringing its total to 650 luxury hotels in 90 countries.
From a beachside beauty on the Caribbean coast to a high-end boutique hideaway fed by mineral waters on Victoria’s Bellarine Peninsula, SLH says its expanding collection “continues to inspire travellers with its diversity of distinguished small hotel stays”.
The new kids on the SLH block
SLH will make its debut in Dominica in August 2026 with the opening of Sanctuary Rainforest Resort and Spa, a retreat set in tropical rainforest.
While West Bay Club, sitting pretty on the widest stretch of Turks and Caicos’ Grace Bay Beach, will add to the Caribbean collection.
In the US, three new hotels have been added: Hotel Belleclaire, New York; The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe, and The Grayson Miami, Miami.
Two properties in Italy, Hotel Saltus, Jenesien and Eight Venezia, Venice are also soon to join the collection, along with A Mandriadi Murtoli, Sartène, in France which resembles a Tuscan village, with stone houses, a pool, and restaurant serving Italian cuisine.
Recent openings
In August 2025, the elite collection opened Palacio de Tavira in the Algarve – a former 19th-century aristocratic residence with 36 rooms and also announced the addition of Jiva Hoa Lu Retreat, its first property in northern Vietnam, which joins the sustainable Considerate Collection.
Hidden in a forested valley in Trang An’s UNESCO World Heritage-listed site, the high-end hotel is surrounded by rice paddies, rivers, and towering limestone karsts.
The seven-suite Lon Retreat & Spa in Victoria’s Bellarine Peninsula was the only Australian hotel to be added in the latest retreats to join the esteemed collection – coming online as part of 38 additions in Q3 2025.
Designed for guests to “take a breath”, the property extensively utilises the mineral waters the owner’s ancestors found more than 100 years ago, which are fed directly into the mineral pool and the two suites with stone baths.
