Movers + Shakers: Luxury travel specialist The Tailor announces multiple exec appointments

Australian bespoke holiday specialist The Tailor has made strategic changes to its executive team with new appointments and promotions, elevating Emma Welling to Chief Commercial Officer and Kirsty Siekmann as Chief Operating Officer.

Australian bespoke holiday specialist The Tailor has made strategic changes to its executive team with new appointments and promotions, elevating Emma Welling to Chief Commercial Officer and Kirsty Siekmann as Chief Operating Officer.

With more than 15 years’ tourism and hospitality experience, including senior sales and marketing roles with The Louise and Baillie Lodges, as BDM, Welling played a pivotal role in growing The Tailor’s trade partnerships and market presence.

As CCO, she will oversee the company’s commercial strategy, working closely with multiple teams to drive future growth.

Former CEO Siekmann will transition into the COO role, focusing on integrating new technologies into the business with a particular emphasis on Al and digital tools to enhance operational efficiency and client experience.

In addition, The Tailor welcomes Tanya Jarman as the new Head of Product and Penny Lion to the Travel Design team. 

A seasoned travel professional with more than 30 years’ experience, Jarman has held roles across tour operations, luxury hospitality and national, state and regional tourism organisations (Tourism Australia and South Australian Tourism Commission).

With deep expertise in brand strategy, trade distribution, marketing communications and strategic planning, she will lead the ongoing evolution of The Tailor’s product portfolio.

Former Tourism Australia executive Penny Lion also joins the Travel Design team, focusing on building the high-end groups and events business.

The Tailor Founder & Managing Director Drew Kluska said the new promotions and appointments mark an important team-building step to lead the 25-year-old business into the future.
