Quick 50 Shades of Grey fans (or people who just generally enjoy sexy things)! Open your Apple Notes App and jot this down – the sexiest hotel bedroom in the world can be found in…
Thailand.
Uhhh, was anyone else expecting somewhere slightly more sultry like Paris, New York or Amsterdam?
Well, according to the recently announced Mr & Mrs Smith Hotel Awards, Thailand’s Keemala has the sexiest bedroom in the world because of its secluded location and unique offerings (we don’t mean handcuffs and whips, sorry for the tease Grey followers).
According to Mr & Mrs Smith’s Designer, Olivia von Halle, guests staying in one of these gorgeous villas are “nestled up in the rainforest canopy with a private pool, al fresco bath and four poster bed”.
That’s pretty darn sexy.

Meanwhile, travellers in the UK looking for a unique bar setting but have a lackadaisical approach to discovering one, might enjoy staying at the London Edition in the UK.
The boutique property won ‘Best Date-Night Bar’, and according to the Founder of Taste the Style, Cyndi Ramirez-Fulton, it’s great for its “bygone-era bar culture” and “classic cocktails”.

Other highlights from the Mr & Mrs Smith Hotel Awards include Amanemu in Mie, Japan, which was recognised for having the ‘Most Spoiling Spa’, while Palazzo Margherita in Italy’s Basilicata received the title for ‘Best-Dressed’.
Wondering why the categories in this year’s awards are so… out there?
Mr & Mrs Smith Founder and Executive Chairman, James Lohan, explained that in selecting award categories, the website wanted to ensure winners were acknowledged for their unique offerings in the boutique hotel experience.
So that’s why we have The Old Clare in Sydney winning in the ‘Best Gourmet Getaway’ category, Fazenda Nova in Portugal taking out the title of ‘Hottest Hotel Soundtrack’ and Grand Hotel Tremezzo in Italy being recognised for ‘Pool with a View’.
Other winners were Halcyon House at Cabarita Beach in Australia – ‘Best Smith Hotel’; Awasi in Chile – ‘Above & Beyond’; Treehotel in Sweden – ‘Best Family Hotels’; Fogo Island Inn – ‘Coolest Creative Hub’; and 11 Howard in New York – ‘Local Hotel Hero’.
