Travel Associates recently held a two-day leadership development workshop at Crystalbrook Byron Bay for its assistant business leaders, investing in the next generation of luxury travel professionals.
The move comes as Travel Associates prepares for the future of luxury travel with a two-year growth plan that will see the brand invest significantly in technology, talent, product and marketing to strategically reach the new luxury traveller.
Rachel Kingswell, Travel Associates’ General Manager Australia and New Zealand, said the brand’s exceptional people will be vital to its growth over the next two years.

“Our assistant business leaders are the future of Travel Associates. By investing in their development, we’re ensuring that our clients continue to receive the one-of-a-kind service and expertise that we’re famous for, for years to come.
“The workshop focused on enhancing key leadership skills, exploring opportunities to expand into new markets and deepening our understanding of the next generation of luxury travellers – three themes that we’ve been focusing on heavily as a senior leadership group, and are now sharing with our Assistant Business Leaders.
“It was so valuable to spend time as a broader leadership group, made even better hosted at the stunning Crystalbrook Byron Bay. We always hold our conferences at locations that inspire and are reflective of where we often send our clients – and Crystalbrook delivered on both fronts.”

Maria & Turner Travel Associates Assistant Business Leader Nicole Tucker said she enjoyed being more involved with the strategic direction of the brand.
“I left our ABL conference feeling invigorated after spending time with my fellow Assistant Business Leaders and learning more about the future of Travel Associates.
“There are so many exciting developments in the works as we head toward the future of luxury. I think I’m most looking forward to seeing our digital transformation come to life, which has a heavy focus on automation to ensure that we (the advisors) can spend more time with our clients to ensure they have a one-of-a-kind travel experience.
“Of course it wasn’t without some fun and we had a beautiful evening at Husk Distillery to cap off the first day and spend some quality time together as a group.”
In November, Travel Associates took out the Most Outstanding Branded Travel Agency Group at the National Travel Industry Awards.
