W Melbourne has appointed experienced marketing strategist Andrea Brown as its new Director of Marketing with a vision for the hotel’s growth and to help establish it as a trendsetter in Melbourne’s hospitality space.
Brown brings extensive luxury hotel experience from roles in Australia and the UK and a proven ability to drive innovative marketing strategies and boost revenue growth.
Her most recent role as Assistant Director of Marketing at InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto saw her lead strategic initiatives for the hotel and its event spaces.
Previous positions include Head of Marketing at Rhubarb Hospitality Collection in London, managing the rebrand of The Carlton Tower Jumeirah and marketing roles at InterContinental London Park Lane, Strand Palace Hotel and Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise.
Brown is enthusiastic about connecting with the Millennial and Gen-Z consumer base for creative partnerships during the hotel’s brand evolution.

The luxury lifestyle hotel within the Marriott International portfolio opened in Melbourne CBD in February 2021.
She will focus on revitalising W Melbourne’s dining and entertainment venues, creating immersive experiences and expanding the MICE business to drive revenue growth.

By maintaining consistent and compelling messaging across all channels, I aim to enhance the overall guest experience and drive continued growth,” Brown said.
Under her leadership, W Melbourne’s marketing strategy will focus on creating immersive experiences and emphasising sustainability and community engagement to attract guests and align with broader social and environmental goals.
