A shift for Swift: CLIA Awards moved for MS Tay Tay arrival

After impacting flights and accommodation (can any one person be that popular, really?), Taylor Swift is now making a splash in the local cruise sector, specifically the CLIA Awards.

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has just announced that it will move the date for Australasia’s biggest annual cruise industry celebration – the CLIA Awards – next year to 9 March to avoid a clash with the singer’s February concerts in Sydney and their impact on flight and hotel availability.

CLIA promises a “spectacular celebration” for hundreds of CLIA members in 2024, when the event returns to the Star Event Centre in Sydney.

Earlier this week, Qantas said it had added more than 60 services to and from Sydney and Melbourne to cater to Taylor Swift fan demand.
