Movers + Shakers: Kirstie Bedford appointed as Editor, Luxury for Karryon

We're delighted to announce that Kirstie Bedford, a Melbourne-based travel journalist, editor, and podcaster, has been appointed Editor, Luxury, at Karryon.

We’re delighted to announce that Kirstie Bedford, a Melbourne-based travel journalist, editor, and podcaster, has been appointed Editor, Luxury, at Karryon.

Kirstie Bedford started with Karryon a year ago as a senior writer working on the newly launched luxury vertical. She will take on the new role immediately in a part-time capacity, reporting to Matt Leedham, Karryon’s founder and Head of Storytelling.

Kirstie has three decades of experience as a journalist, and her expertise has spanned many verticals in travel communications, including print, digital, events, radio and podcasting.

Prior to joining Karryon, she worked for Signature Media, publishers of Signature Luxury Travel & Style and Vacations & Travel magazine.

Kirstie has also held roles as editor and senior content writer at Luxury Escapes, editor of Arrived magazine (produced in collaboration with The Travel Corporation), and founding editor of Luxury Escapes magazine.

Kirstie has also spent more than eight years in communication management positions, including working for Tourism New Zealand, where she managed significant media events, including the world premiere of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

In mid-2023, Kirstie co-founded and began hosting a weekly travel podcast, The World Awaits.
