So what did 2014 look like for us here at KarryOn?

We’ve had a massive year at KarryOn for so many reasons.

From the re-design and launch of our new look site and daily email, to our on-going rapid growth in brand profile, visitors, subscribers and social media fans to our two successful Facetime events we held in Sydney, an office move and the addition of new expert team members – 2014 has been a biggie to say the least.

It’s been awesome and i’m exhausted just writing about it!

What did we learn in 2014?

What we learned more than anything else is that you’ve told us the industry is ready for something different and exciting and that KarryOn is the community hub you’ve been looking for.

2014 has really seen our tagline of ‘The voice of the Travel Industry’ come to life, and it really is all thanks to you.

For us that’s the best learning of all and we can’t thank you enough for your support this year. It’s been truly amazing.

Whether you’ve been reading the site and our daily email, commenting or sharing posts on social media, attending events, sending us your photos or even writing stories for us, you’ve helped to spread the word and make KarryOn what it is today – which is a prominent, ever growing travel community created for and by you.

Everything we do is driven by your input and is something we’re even more committed to as we head into 2015. We recently ran an online survey which had a huge response and has only helped give us more ideas to improve KarryOn in the new year.

To all our wonderful advertisers who have taken the plunge and invested in something new and different this year – we salute you and thank you for your on-going support. We’re looking forward to working with you in 2015 and sharing more new ideas with you to only help further promote your brands and products.

What’s in-store for 2015?

2015 is shaping up to be even bigger and better.

We’ve got lots of great story ideas planned as well as some exciting new events for the calendar that’ll shake up the industry and even a brand spanking new sister site and online store. Shh! Did we say that out loud?

In the meantime we invite you to please continue to keep sending us your stories and your photos, commenting and sharing on posts, giving us your expert feedback and spreading the word amongst your industry friends. It’s you that are the real stars of the show.

So from all of us here at team KarryOn, have a wonderful break and time out over the holiday period with those nearest and dearest to you and here’s to a prosperous, exciting and fun 2015 full of travel and good times.

We’ll be taking a break from the daily email and will be returning back on deck on the 5th of January, but will be running our best stories of 2014 across the site and social media across the holiday period. So keep a look out for some cool stories you may have missed.
