Introducing the first dedicated podcast about the people that work in the Australian travel and tourism industry – ‘Travel Conversations’.
Just launched on KarryOn, the Travel Conversations podcast has been created by Ryan Montgomery & Aaron Christian with the founding ethos that the industry needs to hear more from the people who have made a success of their careers to inspire others.
During the series, Ryan and Aaron will be interviewing inspiring leaders and mentors from across every sector of the industry to learn from their experiences of working in travel and tourism.
Each episode is around 4o minutes long and perfect for listening to or from your way to work, when you’re on your travels or just want to take a break to listen to some inspiring stories from your industry peers.
Ryan himself has learnt plenty in his 10 years within the travel industry throughout a variety of roles at the Travel Corporation, Harvey World Travel and more recently at APT as State Manager NSW/ACT. In recent years Ryan was a mentee of TIME (Travel Industry Mentor Experience) which gave him a great understanding and appreciation of the role of a mentor as well as proving hr insight he needed to come up with the idea for Travel Conversations.

Aaron joined the travel industry over 15 years ago beginning his career as a climb leader at Sydney’s Bridgeclimb before heading out on the open road as a Tour Director. When it came time to settle in one city he naturally gravitated towards a role in sales where he became a finalist for ‘Rookie of the Year’ (Supplier) at the 2012 NTIA Awards.
Today he is an Account Manager with APT and along with Ryan endeavours to share the great stories and moments of inspiration he has experienced over the years.
