Tauck has just introduced Roam by Tauck, a new escorted small-group touring brand geared for a new generation of luxury travellers in their 40s and 50s with a distinct travel style that will appeal to Australians.

Roam by Tauck will debut in 2026 with at least five journeys averaging 16 guests per departure with a collection of 12 itineraries spanning six continents due by 2027.

Available by land, river and small ship, Roam by Tauck tour itineraries will range from five to 11 nights to fit a variety of lifestyles and holiday windows.

While itinerary details are under wraps for now, bookings will open by the end of 2025 with the first departures set for August 2026.

Roam by Tauck offers ample free time to explore, savour and recharge.

Tauck’s first new brand in more than 10 years offers small-group journeys and a balance of flexibility, active adventures and signature experiences.

It’s aimed at younger, luxury travellers with premium pricing that is comparable to Tauck’s higher-end offerings.

As with every Tauck journey, Roam will feature luxury stays, expert guidance and exclusive access to places and experiences that are difficult to arrange independently.

Additional active options are woven throughout each journey.

Curated optional excursions, at least one active experience per trip and more time for relaxation distinguish the new touring brand from the signature Tauck experience.

Tauck CEO Jennifer Tombaugh said the introduction of Roam by Tauck follows two years of development, based on extensive research from more than 4,000 travellers.

“Roam by Tauck represents a natural evolution of what we’ve always believed: travel has the power to enrich, restore and transform. The new brand name, Roam by Tauck, intentionally evokes exploration, freedom and the pleasure of discovery designed for a new generation of Tauck guests,” she said.

“The inclusion of ‘by Tauck’ is also a nod to our 100-year legacy and our commitment to relentless innovation, unique access and trusted expertise.”

Aussie appeal

Tauck Managing Director Australia David Clark believes Roam by Tauck will appeal to younger Australian travellers seeking more flexibility and adventure.

“Roam by Tauck offers itineraries that will undoubtedly be very well received in our region. We know that our travellers prefer smaller groups and our new brand meets a gap in the market,” he said.

“A high-end travel product of this nature that offers the flexibility to personalise with signature experiences and, importantly, has active options, will be particularly attractive to our Australian travellers in their 40s and 50s.”
