Centara Villas Samui is perfect for couples looking to celebrate their honeymoon, anniversary or just for escaping to a tropical secluded paradise for an unforgettable romantic getaway.
Situated on a private frontage on Natien Beach and near the fishing village of Hua Thanon, only 30 kilometres south of Samui International Airport, this 4-star resort is made up of 102 individual Thai style villas ranging from Garden Villas to Family Deluxe Pool Villa with each villa having its own furnished balcony or terrace.
Nicely tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Chaweng and Lamai Beach, this tranquil well kept property is ideal for couples looking for privacy during a tropical romantic getaway.
Despite the resort’s removed location, strolling around on the property’s perfectly manicured gardens you will be pleasantly surprised to find out that the resort offers fast Wi-Fi from the villa to the beach, spa and restaurants.
The Garden Villa
I stayed in the Garden Villa which was tucked in between the other Garden Villas only a short walk away from the swimming pools, spa and the beach.
The villa had a small terrace facing the garden with outdoor furniture placed in the shade as well as a large bathroom and a comfortable bed with a firm mattress as well as complimentary tea and coffee facilities.
A new program ‘Do Not Clean Today’ has been rolled out, encouraging guests to not having their rooms cleaned daily in order to minimise cleaning and laundry chemical use. The initiative was rolled out by Centara Villas Samui’s General Manager, Tim Rawlinson and as a reward guests receive a 150 Bath Voucher that can be used as a credit at the resort’s restaurant and bar.
Natien Beach – The resort’s private beach

Situated right on the resort’s private beach, Centara Villas offers sunbeds and beach towels to all guests who wish to spend their days close to the crystal clear waters.
For those who prefer a lay by the pool, there are three pool areas: one large pool right by the beach and two additional pools on a plateau a bit further up nestled between the private villas all with sunbeds and umbrellas.

The vibe on the beach was very relaxed and the bar starting their happy hour from 1pm which ended up being popular waterhole for many fellow guests. For those who prefer non-alcoholic options there are numerous fresh fruit juices and fresh coconuts.
The staff members were also taking drink orders from the sunbeds.

If you want to work off those Danish pastries from the breakfast buffet, getting into one of the Kayaks is a brilliant morning activity.
Even though you might miss the sunrise it is still incredibly beautiful to be out on the water early in the morning.
The resort provides life-jackets and friendly staff will make sure you get into the kayaks without any dramas. We were advised to not paddle too far out and stay close to the shore and paddle back and forth.
Even though the kayaks are easy to get into whilst on shallow waters, if you (and yes that happened to myself and my Kayak buddy) happen to fall out of the Kayak when you are further out it can be rather tricky to get back into it again – kid you not!
If you prefer land based activities there’s table tennis and boule right on the beach.
Spa Cenvaree
The spa offers massages, pedicure and manicure
A visit to the spa was personally the highlight of my stay at Centara Villas.
After a long-haul flight from Sydney I was more than excited for a full body massage to soften that sore back and tired legs.
After an hour I felt like a new person full of energy and my shoulders had been given new life.
The spa offers traditional Thai massage, classic aroma therapy massage as well as foot massage, steam baths and manicure and pedicure.
