Drones meet sharks in South Africa – What’s not to love? This video has been doing the viral rounds and for a very good reason.

If like me you’re a bit of a drone and shark nerd, then this one’s for you.

San Francisco videographer Eric Cheng shot this amazing video on a recent visit to Cape Town and managed to capture this incredible footage of the Mother City from a great height.

From smooth aerial shots over Lion’s Head and the city during sunrise, to a bird’s eye view of the and Sandy Bay shipwreck and the wild oceans and sea life below, this is a breathtaking video that wouldn’t have been possible just five years ago unless you had a helicopter.

The aerial shots of numerous sharks frolicking in the surf followed by a hungry Great White getting stuck into some boat bait is especially a jaw dropper.

Hats off to Cheng for his drone flying and for giving us a very different perspective and beautiful visual journey.

Fancy heading to Capetown after seeing this? I’m in. Just don’t ask me to go surfing.

What do you think? Are drones the future of Tourism advertising?
