Taiwan Tourism has launched a new campaign – ’Taiwan The Heart of Asia”
The Taiwan Tourism Bureau hosted spectacular events on Tuesday the 9th of September at the Sofitel Hotel Sydney and 11th of September at Brisbane Hilton . The large number of guests at each event experienced a night of Taiwanese culture and gained an insight into why Taiwan is redefining the way we see Asia.
The event was the official launch in Australia of the new promotional campaign, ’Taiwan – The Heart of Asia’. Travel agents, media and industry representatives attended both events. The timing is perfect for this new campaign as the number of Australians visiting Taiwan is increasing each year and there has already been a year on year increase of 25% for the first six months of 2014.
The events included workshop presentations by Taiwan’s best local tour companies including; Edison Tours, Golden Foundation Tours and MyTaiwanTour whom also provided prizes for the events. A number of airlines and hotels also provided their generous support including Scoot, China Airlines, EVA Airlines, Marriott, Accor and Starwood.
Guests were entertained and informed as to why Taiwan is fast becoming one of the best destinations in Asia. The presentations highlighted the fact that Taiwan is one of the safest destinations in Asia, that it’s very accessible with direct flights from Sydney and Brisbane, and that the island has one of the most modern infrastructures in Asia.
The diversity of culture, geography and cuisine, makes Taiwan unique. Taiwan was recently nominated by Lonely Planet as the “foodie mecca” of Asia!
Mr Arthur Hsieh, Director of the Taiwan Tourism Bureau Singapore Branch led the delegation along with Ms. Jean Chang, President of the Golden Foundation Services Group.
Taiwan is the perfect choice for those seeking a new destination, with new experiences for their personal experience, families or for conferences. Taiwan Tourism will be conducting Business Event familiarizations for senior PCO’s and Event planners to showcase “surprising Taiwan.”
