Today, World Aviation Systems (WAS) have announced that they will represent Virgin Atlantic Airways as the airline’s new General Sales Agent in Australasia and South East Asia.

Today, World Aviation Systems (WAS) have announced that they will represent Virgin Atlantic Airways as the airline’s new General Sales Agent in Australasia and South East Asia.

David Rose, Head of Asia Pacific (APAC) operations at Virgin Atlantic Airways, said he looks forward to working with the team at WAS.
“Following a comprehensive tender process to identify a regional GSA in Australasia and South East Asia, we are delighted to appoint World Aviation Systems as our representative.  This was a natural choice for us due to the company’s extensive experience and forward thinking, can-do culture,”

James Vaile, Group General Manager of World Aviation Systems, said the team is privileged to represent Virgin Atlantic Airways. “We are delighted to be working with one of the world’s leading long-haul airlines which fly to 30 destinations worldwide.  Virgin Atlantic Airways currently operates from Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo, London and beyond to the USA.
The growth of travel in our region makes this a particularly exciting time for us to work closely together.  Our industry leading representation model and expertise at World Aviation Systems will enable us to drive sales on behalf of Virgin Atlantic in the region,” said Vaile.
World Aviation Systems has appointed Gia Acitelli as Regional General Manager. Acitelli has 14 years of experience with Virgin Atlantic Airways as Sales and Marketing Manager for Australia and New Zealand.
“Gia is a well-known and respected figure in Australia and New Zealand in the airline and travel industry.  She will play an integral role in our ongoing relationship with Virgin Atlantic Airways,” said Vaile.
