We love the parks, the resorts and the cruises and now Aussie agents are going to have access to even more Disney as the company builds its local presence.

Disney Destinations – responsible for Disney Parks & Resorts and Disney Cruises – has appointed David Clark, a former helloworld and Carnival Australia employee, to head up its Travel and Business Development in Australia and New Zealand.

Effective immediately, Clark is responsible for building the brand’s presence around the two countries while also searching for new business partnership opportunities that will benefit sales.

He’ll also be responsible for working closely with business stakeholders such as wholesalers, agents, airlines, tourism boards and other relevant organisations to create new opportunities.

And of course, there’s the task of increasing sale opportunities for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts’ theme parks, cruises and resort hotels around the world.

According the Disney, Clark has a strong background in the industry, marketing and sales, having previously worked at a national manager for cruise at helloworld and a regional sales manager at Carnival Australia.

Clark also has extensive experience with the brand itself, with his first industry role being a programming counsellor aboard Disney Cruise Line ships in 1999.

Disney Cruises

“David rejoins Disney during an important time in the company’s history, as the Disneyland Resort in California celebrates its historic 60th Diamond anniversary.”

Disney Cruises

“The original Disney Theme Park, a favourite among Australian and New Zealander travelers, set the stage for the company’s establishment of parks and resorts around the globe, which now includes Hong Kong Disneyland and the new Shanghai Disney Resort, under development and set to open in 2016.”

Clark will be based in Sydney and reports to Ken Wong, Vice President, Asia Pacific Regional Sales, for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.

With Clark’s extensive experience in cruise, do you think this Disney is planning to send a ship to Australia? #Dreaming
