While international counterparts consider the first Wednesday of May to be Travel Agent Appreciation Day, Trafalgar has decided to give Aussie consultants their own day by designating the second last Wednesday in May to be entirely theirs.
Well not entirely because today is also World Turtle Day… BUT there is no cuter animal to share a day with ? than a turtle.
So grab another bottle of champers to celebrate yourself, your colleagues AND those adorable turtles ? (even the snapper kind).
Trafalgar Australia’s Managing Director, Matthew Cameron-Smith, said the idea to give Australian Agents their own day came after seeing how North America celebrated their consultants and put their “Agents First” on the first Wednesday in May.
“It astounded me as we always put #AgentsFirst, so why do the North American Agents get all the love? So today, we declare 23 May 2018 Australia’s first ever National Agents Day.”

In addition to wishing consultants a great National Agents Day, Trafalgar is also generously spoiling them by providing them with lunch, gifting them, delivering cookies and planting trees in their honour.

To score free lunch, all Agents need to do is post an image, video or status (in 25 words or less) on the Trafalgar Tribe Facebook page on 23 May telling Trafalgar why they love being an Agent.

Trafalgar’s Global CEO Gavin Tollman will commission 100 trees to be planted to commemorate this special day with sustainability partner One Tree Planted, to support reforestation in places like North America and Tanzania.
