Travel Agents will have an unprecedented opportunity later this month to learn more about the world’s greatest rail voyages – and win some luxury prizes – when Rail Plus unveils its first ever ‘Great Train Journeys Showcase’.

Representatives from the world’s most renowned rail journeys will for the first time gather together for the three-hour evening events, scheduled to begin in Brisbane (August 28) followed by Sydney (August 29) and Melbourne (August 30).

The line-up will feature a ‘who’s who’ of famous and fascinating train voyages from across Europe, Asia, North and South America, New Zealand and Australia – including every journey featured in the Rail Plus Great Train Journeys brochure.

Rail Plus Commercial Director Ingrid Kocijan says the ‘Great Train Journeys Showcase’ will be must-see events for agents who want to tap into an emerging and profitable product category.

“Given the sustained sales growth we are seeing with our Great Train Journeys division it is clear that many agents are now fully aware of the quality and wide range of rail voyages on offer.”

“They also appreciate the appeal these products offer Australian travellers, especially those looking to replicate a cruise experience on land.

“We believe the time is right, therefore, to take agents’ understanding and exposure to a new level by bringing together a selection of the very best great rail journeys from around the world.

“I have no doubt that the benefits of attending these events will flow directly through to consultants’ bottom lines.”
