British Airways' complimentary upgrades to First are back

Find someone you adore, slightly lift your shirts and do a Jack and Karen tummy touch because not only is Will and Grace coming back (totally off topic but had to throw it in there), but so too are British Airways' complimentary upgrades.

Available from now until 5 October 2016, customers who book a return Club World business class to Singapore, the UK and Europe on BA.com for travel from Sydney on or before 31 March 2017 will receive a complimentary upgrade to First.

The one-way upgrade is a great opportunity for British Airways to show off its First product, build its following and let its customers travel like the rich and famous without breaking the bank.

Like the wise (and often drunk) Karen once said, “if you want people to like you then you have to buy them things” or in this case, give them a free upgrade.

Each individual suite in British Airways’ First cabin features a bed that is 60 percent wider, a personal wardrobe, world-class dining options and an unprecedented level of comfort.

Customers in First will be entitled to a complimentary chauffeur service to or from Sydney International Airport (okay spoiled much), PLUS all premium customers arriving at British Airways’ award-winning home at London Heathrow Terminal 5 can enjoy the facilities at the Arrivals lounge, which includes showers, breakfast and complimentary Elemis spa treatments.

Nicole Backo, British Airways’ regional general manager, South West Pacific, said the airline is excited to bring back “this incredible promotion”.

“This promotion really is a ticket to exceptional comfort and impeccable service.”

“They can enjoy a carefully selected collection of wellbeing essentials, a pair of wonderfully soft cotton pyjamas and sink into a quilted mattress and Egyptian cotton duvet for a dreamy night’s sleep.
