You don't need to save for months for your next holiday, you just need your loose change to book a flight with Tigerair Australia.

You don’t need to save for months for your next holiday, you just need your loose change to book a flight with Tigerair Australia.

The budget carrier has launched a mid-year sale across its network of 22 domestic routes whereby Aussies can pay to go one way and then return for just $1.

So, if you book a flight out of Adelaide to Melbourne for $75, you pay $1 return and your total fare comes to $76.

You can pay the same for Brisbane-Sydney or fork out $4 extra for a return fare from Brisbane to the Whitsundays.

If the offer sounds good to you, then you’d better book quick because it’s only available until midday 13 May (or until sold out) and applies on select travel dates between mid-July and mid-September 2017.

Tigerair Australia Head of Communications Vanessa Regan said the sale is “phenomenal” especially when you think about return flights selling for less than the cost of a newspaper or bus ticket.

“We are thrilled to continue to enable more people than ever, the opportunity to fly for less.”

“As well as being affordable, which is the linch-pin of our product, we’re also extremely proud to be Australia’s most on-time low cost carrier for 2015 and 2016 calendar years and for having the lowest cancellation rate of all major domestic airlines over the same period.

“As always the best value deals are expected to be snapped up first so we urge bargain seekers to jump online as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.”
