Luxperience kicks off in Sydney

Hundreds of luxury travel suppliers and agents have converged at the Australian Technology Park today to kick start Luxperience 2015.

Hundreds of luxury travel suppliers and agents have converged at the Australian Technology Park today to kick start Luxperience 2015.

 

The event opened this morning with consultants eager to connect with the world’s most exclusive travel providers dealing in luxury and experiential travel.

According to organisers, more than 30,000 meetings are set to take place over the 3.5 day event and each attendee’s appointment schedule can be accessed through the new LUXE Concierge App, which includes personal travel itineraries and a playful guide to Sydney’s hotspots.

Among the providers is DB Americas, a South & Central America operator specialising in indivualised luxury tours throughout the region.

DB Americas is one of 10 companies launching at Luxperience. Others include Anda Ocean Adventures and LUXICO.

A major international hotel group will be announcing a new edition to its portfolio and resorts opening in 2016 appearing at Luxperience include Nai Harn, Thailand; 7Secrets Resort and Wellness Retreat, Bali; The Island Grace, Fiji and New Zealand’s Helena Bay and The Lodge at Kinloch.

Attendees will also have visits from a few VIPs such as India’s Consul General Mr. Sunjay Sudhir who will perform a ribbon cutting ceremony at the India stand on Monday morning.

Last night, 500 attendees were welcomed to the event during a Welcome Cocktail Party. Media personality Jacinta Tynan was the Master of Ceremonies.

Guests heard fascinating insights from speakers including Anouche Newman from the Customer Service Institute of Australia; award-winning cinematographer Corey Baudinette from LUXHD, and renowned digital marketing expert Dr Matthew McDougall of Digital Jungle.

Luminaries from the meetings and conventions arena – Anne Candy from Signature by Anne Candy, Ilana Den of Cc Conferences and Corporate Events, and Melissa Bajugi from Sydney Town Hall – treated guests to an inspiring debate on the paradoxical perceptions of high cost events.

Luxperience attendees were also presented with the initial, fascinating findings of the latest trends, opportunities and challenges facing the luxury travel industry uncovered in research initiated by Luxperience with respected market research specialists, MyTravelResearch.com.
