Sanad Capital Pty Ltd – an offshoot of the business conglomerate, Najibi Group – is ploughing some $400 million into the ‘ACTVE’ project, which aims to attract active tourists and generator more jobs.

While not expected to begin construction until next year, the company has already started releasing information about the project’s waterpark.

And it sounds ridiculously cool.

First off, it’s going to have a wave pool, that generates 9-feet high waves…

Then there’ll obviously be high-thrill rides, which Sanad Capital says “have never been seen in Australia before” such as the Abyss, Constrictor and Boomerango Manta.

It’ll have the “world’s largest interactive aqua play structure”, which can accommodate 2,000 people at one time, AND it’ll have the first slide-boarding area in ASEAN – this combines video game interactivity to water-slides.

Don’t worry, the toddlers will have somewhere to play too because there’s a dedicated area for tots for kids between four to eight, plus there’s the AquaLoop for teens.

According to Sanad Capital CEO, Bradley P. Sutherland, the waterpark is designed to “provide a complete family experience with features for every age group”.

“The Sunshine Coast is seeing some game-changing developments, and we wanted to add to that with this project.”
