Is this new travel pillow the answer to sleeping on planes?

Most of us find it extremely hard to fall asleep on planes. That is, unless you’re flying in Etihad’s business class – hello flatbeds.

But now there might just be a way for you to sleep off that Bali hangover, or give your body a well-needed rest before a crazy week in Vegas.

The new SkyDreamer pillow, a project funded in Kickstarter by San Francisco-based company Outlier Inspired, was recently released to the travelling public, and it promises to make sleepless flights a thing of the past by supporting the chin and keeping your head in an upright, comfortable position.

In other words, it stops your heading from rolling forward and waking you up on a flight.

“The SkyDreamer was designed to eliminate [the head from rolling forward]… so that we can once again dream in flight and wake refreshed.”

How cool is that?

The pillow is made from crinkled taffeta, cuddle suede and polyester fiberfill, and retails for about $100 and comes with a matching eye-mask.

It’s not the first neck pillow reputed to aid sleep on planes, but could it be the last?

Are we dreaming, or do you think it’ll finally be possible to get some sleep with the new SkyDreamer pillow?
