Around 500 Travel Agents operating under the Helloworld Travel umbrella have started making their way to Australia’s little island state of Tasmania for three days of learning, socialising and celebrity spotting.

At around 5.30pm tonight, the collective of consultants will officially kick off their 2017 Helloworld Travel Frontliners conference inside the Wrest Point waterfront hotel.

As part of the annual gathering, Travel Agents will have the chance to catch up on a year’s worth of gossip during the Thursday night welcome function before hitting the business building formalities on Saturday morning.

Helloworld Travel has secured a number of influential key speakers to present at this year’s gathering, including Qantas’ Chief Customer Officer Olivia Wirth, comedian Vince Sorrenti and sporting leader Kirk Peterson.

There’ll also be updates from key personnel within the agency group as well as tradeshow sessions, during which Agents will have the chance to engage with some 30 travel brands.

A number of prizes will be up for grabs, in fact there’s so many to give away practically everyone will feel like a winner. Among the giveaways include 15 day land trips to South Africa, an Economy ticket to Vancouver, a Bordeaux river cruise, 10-day trip to Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe, an almost all-expenses paid trip to California, a stay at a Club Med resort, four nights accommodation at the Disney resort in Hawaii and the list goes on and on and on and on.

Seriously, so many prizes! Winners will be walking around the conference like…

If that wasn’t enough, Helloworld Travel has also managed to score itself a celebrity guest to perform at the Saturday night Gala Awards dinner, but they’re keeping tight lipped on who it may be.

We here at KarryOn have taken it upon ourselves to investigate who this mystery guess may be and came up with six suggestions, click here to see if you agree.

KarryOn will join Travel Agents in Hobart later this week. If you spot us, be sure to say hi and pose for a quick pic!
