If you’re like us and have been itching to know what Bill Clinton told thousands of travel industry professionals in Hawaii last month, then good news, because we finally know!
In case you missed it, the former US President shocked a conference hall full of Travel Agents when he strolled out on stage at the annual Flight Centre Global Gathering as this year’s keynote speaker.
Up until recently, the only thing we knew of his talk was that he ‘mesmerised’ the crowd with his views on life while sporting a brown suit and a casual, floral Hawaiian shirt.
Now, thanks to a video capturing highlights from the Gathering, we have a little more intel’ on the former POTUS’ speech.
Here’s what Clinton had to say:
“You don’t have to be rich. You don’t have to be powerful.”

“You just have to believe that the whole long history of humanity requires us to share the burden and share the benefits, and realise our differences make life more interesting, but what we have in common matters more.”
No, it wasn’t the full speech but it was enough to make us want to contribute to the standing ovation he received from Flighties in the clip.
Meanwhile, the highlights video, which runs for seven minutes, also shows snippets from the ‘Let’s get Luau’d’ welcome pool party where the men pulled out the sailor gear, women wore leis, everyone drank refreshing Hawaiian cocktails and some took part in human-on-human push ups.
There was footage from Mark Ronson’s DJ set, an Abu Dhabi-themed competition, the Global Gathering Breakfast where American cheerleaders performed and there was a snippet of Graham Turner’s speech, during which the Managing Director described the company as “thriving”.
